Summary: Support Division and Field Operations with engineering problems and issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

·Support Division and Field Operations with complex engineering problems & issues, troubleshoot, develop alternatives, perform forensic analysis, and propose & implement solutions for long-term reliability.

·Facilitate the development of Mechanical Standards and Procedures to support the operation & maintenance activities of field rotating equipment and auxiliary systems.

·Support the Process Safety Management (PSM) program as the SME for ESD Systems, Pumps, Instrumentation and Compression Equipment (EPIC).

·Facilitate the development of Best Practice documents.

·Technology development, assessment and deployment including influence within industry R&D consortiums to improve performance and efficiency of the maintenance and operations function.

·Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) that are used to measure or compare equipment performance.

·Lead or participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations to determine the root cause of failures or incidents with equipment.

·Assist Engineering or Operations in the execution of capital projects when needed.

·Answer technical inquiries, make technical recommendations, improve design tools, & develop design procedures, and provide training.

·Mentor Engineering Staff within the Asset Management & Reliability group.

·Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for torque procedures and standards.

Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

·Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical

· 10 years of industry experience in engineering supporting rotating equipment

·Knowledge of rotating equipment engineering principles, specifically gas turbines, reciprocating engines, pumps and motors.

·Experience performing Root Cause Failure Analyses.

·Experience supporting a technical audit program.

·Ability to read, understand & develop drawings including one-lines, P&IDs, flow diagrams, schematics, state diagrams, cause and effect tables, and connection diagrams. 

·Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Capable of keeping clients updated and writing detailed technical reports. Communicate technical ideas to a wide range of groups.

·Strong team player (i.e. capable of building strong and productive working relationships with all stakeholders as well as fostering collaboration across operating units).
